German RepRap X150

The German RepRap X150 is a compact, second generation industrial 3D printer for high precision and high quality printing. Based on the NEO, which has sold thousands of units, it comes with some further technological advances to meet the requirements of industrial users in terms of precision and reliability. With its 150 x 150 x 150 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 5.9 ins) build envelope it is suitable for professional users looking for a high quality entry level device for small objects. In a stable metal housing the printer features play-free drives and shafts, a distortion free and rigid build platform with excellent adhesion properties and an extruder technology, which in combination with a controllable object fan, ensures clean printing. The integrated lighting supports optional remote monitoring via a webcam.

Stable 3D printer “Made in Germany”

A stable construction is the optimum basis for precise printing. The German RepRap X150 therefore not only has a fixed stable metal frame, but also high quality and generously dimensioned drives and shafts for its compact size of 330 x 330 x 330 mm.

Precise printing in continuous operation

The German RepRap X150 is designed for high precision printing in continuous operation throughout. Besides a distortion free and adhesion optimized build platform, the controllable object fan also contributes to print quality. The direct cooling at the extruder output reduces distortion and any sensitivity to external influences such as air currents, which adversely affect print quality. Its 0.4 mm nozzle enables the production of highly detailed and precise prints up to a format of 150 x 150 x 150 mm.

The design with a fan, the extruder, which can be heated up to 265°C, and the adhesion-optimized build platform, means that the X150 does not require a heated bed for materials such as PLA. A selection of different print plates are supplied with the printer.

Direct connection or network

The standard version of the X150 3D printer communicates with the PC via USB. The optional Printbox enables you to integrate the X150 in your corporate network or control and monitor printing via the Wifi network using a web browser. In conjunction with the standard illuminated build envelope, this allows print progress to also be monitored using a tablet or smartphone and webcam (optional).

Like all German RepRap 3D printers, the X150 is a combination of open source technology and German engineering know-how. Either the free Slic3r open source software or the optional commercially available Simplify3D print software can be used.

A genuine German RepRap 3D printer – like the big ones

The German RepRap X150 is a fully-fledged member of the X model series and is a match for any of the large 3D printers in terms of quality. Like all German RepRap 3D printers, the X150 was also developed and manufactured in Germany, and contains only components of the highest quality. The X150 thus provides an affordable entry level to professional 3D printing.

German RepRap offer German quality PLA filament for your X150 printer in many colours also transparent and fluorescend coloured material as well as Performance PLA for prints with a smooth texture and a silky surface.
